As the issue is with Brother Printer software, I suggest you to contact the Brother support as Brother is responsible for the proper operation of both the printer and their supplied drivers. I'll try it on another PC here and see what happens on it. I tried putting your app in C: Brotner the issue is with your Computer or a Laptop you should try using Reimage Plus which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files.
